The Inspiration Lab Conference isn’t just any conference; it’s a vibrant gathering of thinkers, creators, and innovators coming together to share ideas and inspire one another. Held at Wrightsville Manor in Wilmington, NC, this year’s event embraced the empowering theme, “It’s Never Too Late & You’re Never Too Old,” with a charming mild Cinderella twist. All thanks to the incredible vision of founder Stephanie Lanier. For several years, our photography team has been fortunate to work with the Inspiration Lab on various photo projects, and we absolutely love spending the day capturing the energy and passion that this event brings!
This year’s lineup featured an incredible array of speakers—women from diverse fields including communications, higher education, law, media, small business, and real estate. Each speaker brought unique insights and experiences, inspiring attendees to embrace their journeys, regardless of age or background. The energy in the room was palpable as participants listened to empowering talks and engaged in thought-provoking panels.
After the sessions, attendees had the opportunity to choose from various small group masterminds tailored to their current interests or professions. This interactive component allowed participants to connect more personally with one another and dive deeper into specific topics, fostering collaboration and community. At the Inspiration Lab, attendees celebrated what it means to be real in a world that often feels overwhelming. Their commitment to creating a space where everyone feels empowered to embrace their true selves is infectious, and it was clear that participants left not only buzzing with new ideas but also feeling a sense of permission to rest and reflect on their own journeys.
As the photography team behind the scenes, we had a front-row seat to all the excitement and heartfelt moments. One of the highlights was Alisha Thomas, our very own bookkeeper, who took the stage to talk about “Authenticity On & Offline: Sustainable & Attainable Social Media.” Her tips for building genuine connections in the digital world were spot on, and we loved capturing her passion as she engaged with the crowd and reminded us all to not take ourselves so seriously.
The day was made even sweeter with a surprise: Stephanie was treated to a fabulous Taylor Swift-themed birthday cake crafted by her husband, Andrew + Work Family! It was a beautiful moment to celebrate the birth of the woman who brought us all together, creating a community that inspires so many.
Speaking of surprises, we had a good laugh at how tricky it is to keep anything under wraps around Stephanie! She almost caught us red-handed while we were snapping a few candid shots of Andrew with the cake.
Our photography team had a fantastic time capturing the day’s energy, from inspiring talks to those priceless moments of joy. Every click of the camera told a story, and we’re excited to showcase the final images that truly reflect the warmth and authenticity of this unforgettable event!
